Welcome to Gerry DeGasparre's Team 71 Late Model Racing web site!  Gerry and his dad (Gerry Sr.) have been racing since the early 90's and started out in the Street Division at Seekonk Speedway, after several successful years they decided it was time to move up. Team 71 is now in their seventh year of running in the  Late Model Division formally known as the Sportsman Division. Gerry and the team captured their first track championship during the 2003 season and again in the 2006 season.

Third Championship Crown!

Gerry and the team 71 crew grab their fifth win in the 2007 season and their third championship title in five years!!!

Last week From the Seekonk Speedway website...

Defending track champ Gerry DeGasparre, Jr. of Pawtucket, RI steered clear of the carnage and found himself third on the restart behind Lillie and Clark. DeGasparre took the spot when racing resumed while Taschereau charged back inside the top seven with five laps to go. A minor late-race spin set up a final restart which allowed Kyle Casper, who had been lurking back in fourth, and Mike Becker, to overtake DeGasparre. Casper moved to second with two laps to go and pulled in on Lillie’s rear bumper, but couldn’t shake the leader as they crossed under the checkers nose to tail. Becker came from the back of the pack to finish third, followed by DeGasparre, who posted his 17th consecutive top ten finish and 14th top five to clinch his third track title in five years.
